DIY Christmas Ornaments

diy handprint ornaments

Making Christmas memories whether Glen wants to cooperate or not! These DIY ornaments (made the day after Christmas 😅) were easy but not the most successful, mostly due to user error.

Ingredients
- 1 C baking powder
- 1/2 C cornstarch
- 3/4 C water

Instructions
- Heat and stir on the stove until "mashed potato" consistency
- Cover + cool and then roll out. The cooling is key!
- Bake at 175 for at least 90 min. I flipped these and cooked for another 15 because the bottoms were still soggy.

Ides for next time....
- Don't roll it too thin! You'll press baby's hand all the way through
- The dough is less sticky the cooler it is which makes it easier to roll, press, cut, and transfer to a baking stone without tearing or cracking.
