I had a range of thoughts watching the Kansas City Fashion Week runway from a computer screen for the first time. Not only was I not going to be on the runway tonight (or any night of this season’s shows), but I hadn’t even had to do much to prep for tonight’s shows than review the order of designers to see if one of the three I would be interviewing would be showing their collection tonight. No hair and makeup, no #getreadywithme or #bts posts, no rehearsals or last-minute mishaps.
And as much as I miss my fashion family and the craziness that is Fashion Week, I had to admit to myself it would be nice to just be a spectator this season.
